Account & Data Deletion
Last updated: 21 June 2026
You can delete your MintCards account and associated personal data at any time. This page explains how, and what we are legally required to keep.
Delete from the app
In the MintCards app, go to Settings → Account → Delete account and confirm. Your account is closed and deletion of your personal data begins.
Request deletion via the web
If you cannot use the app, email privacy@mintcardsapp.com from your registered address with the subject “Delete my account”. We may ask one question to verify your identity.
What gets deleted
- Your profile and account credentials.
- Your collection data and preferences.
- Card-scan images associated with your account.
- Your waitlist/marketing record (you are also unsubscribed).
What we must retain, and why
Some records are kept after account deletion where the law requires it — in particular transaction, wallet and invoicing records for up to 10 years for tax and accounting obligations, and limited security logs. These are retained only for those purposes and then deleted.
Account deletion vs data deletion
Deactivating or signing out is not deletion. Account deletion permanently closes the account and removes your personal data except the records noted above. This is irreversible.
Timeline
Deletion is actioned within 30 days of a verified request. If you used “Sign in with Apple”, the associated token is revoked.
