Why we’re building MintCards

Every serious collector ends up with the same problem: the tools don’t talk to each other. One app to scan a card, another to track what your collection is worth, a marketplace to buy the cards you’re missing, and a different marketplace — with its fees and disputes — to sell. Four tools for one hobby.

We’re building MintCards because the scan, the value, the buy and the sell should be the same thing. Point your phone at a card and MintCards recognises the exact printing, edition, language and finish — not just the name. From there it’s one tap to see what it’s worth, add it to your collection, or sell it to a vetted store and get paid into your wallet.

What we care about

  • Getting the card exactly right. Foil vs non-foil, English vs Japanese, first print vs reprint. The details are the value.
  • Selling without the pain. Vetted stores, centralized logistics, a real wallet — no shipping chaos, no lowball DMs.
  • Treating a collection like the asset it is. Live valuation, down to the printing.

We’re launching soon on iOS and Android, starting with Magic: The Gathering and One Piece, with Pokémon coming soon after. If that sounds like the app you’ve wanted, join the waitlist — we’ll send one email at launch.
